Regulations for Lasting Power of Attorney came into force today. The LPA replaces the previous Enduring Power of Attorney regulations, although any existing EPA remains valid. LPAs provide additional safeguards, and can deal not only with financial matters (LPA Property & Affairs) but also with health and welfare matters (LPA Personal Welfare)
